A bunch of my friends and I were thinking of doing this trip, but are having a really hard time finding any reviews from someone who has actually been on the trip before.

Anyone even heard of this before? They are requesting a wire transfer in order to reserve a boat. We would like to go but are hesitant without hearing from someone else first.

i would like to know about the age. are all the ppl really like 25-30?

how expensive was your trip. what kind of costs can i expect besides the costs for the yacht shown on the website?

I just got back from the YACHT WEEK Croatia, based on my experience, I would never recommend someone go on vacation with this company. They take your money and do not provide services they promise. I was one of VERY few women on the entire trip of 60 yachts. There were horror stories of rats on boats, people getting hurt and going to the ER, boats breaking, and people being left stranded with no way back to the boats after going out at night. Please, avoid at all costs and take your money elsewhere.

Just a Quick Clarity on the story from above, During week 30 of the Yacht week in the south route there was a mouse in one of the boats and as TYW doesnt own its boats this boats belong to the croatian charter companies, In this case Bavadria. As of the Guy Girl ratio its like anything else guys are more likely to go on a boat for a week specially if they have never been on one before. The ratio for that week was actually 67% guys which was the week with the most guys to be honest. As of transportation every single boat has a dinghy and the local taxis work for themselves. its like this anywhere you go. the yacht week is a sailing trip not a luxury jet set trip,if that what your looking for get your own yacht not a sailing cruiser.

The guys giving good reviews for THE YACHT WEEK all work for them....look at thier profile pictures, one is even wearing a YACHT WEEK skipper shirt (given only to the company's captains)! Trust me this is a huge waste of money, they fake their videos. Our trip was so bad they said they should have refunded us and to call their headquarters, the headquarters gave us the run around for 2 months and then said no. DO NOT TRAVEL WITH THEM.

Oh and here is the article about the girl who was having sex with one of the Yacht Week hired skippers and broke the bathroom glass of her yacht and almost lost her hand....classy guys. I want my $ back.

certainly sounds like it didn't live up to your expectations but I don't think the organisers can be held responsible for two grown adults foolishly using a glass sink to have sex on.

Best comment I saw is this one:-

"Either she is very unlucky having sex on a shoddy, weak sink that breaks easily, or she had very aggressive sex and broke the sink. Besides, the kitchen sink isn't really a place for sex. Also, sex should only be between a husband and wife, and it doesn't appear that the New Zealand woman is married to the British man."

"I always make a habit of having a health and safety team do a complete survey and report before i make love .....I admit it's a bit of a passion killer having people with clipboards wandering around but my wife and I still have all our hands and feet."

One thing people have to realize is that if you have never been on a sailing boat please do you homework, a week on a boat is not for everyone. This are not luxury yachts, they are sailing cruisers. and yea they are from a charter company so don't expect much. apart from that the only thing the yacht week does is organize the parties (which you can attend if you want) and providing you with a skipper for a really good price. If most of you don't know a charter skipper in Croatia costs about 2,000 a week and people on TYW only pay 500 euros for one so. Overall don't expect a 5 star experience if your paying 1000 euros I mean come on you cant even find a sh ity hotel for a week in any vacation spot for that price.

It’s definitely time we all got some adventure back in our lives and The Yacht Week has delivered it with ‘The Islands’. With routes already set to Croatia (Original / Ultra Festival / Hideout Festival routes), Greece, Montenegro and Sardinia Emerald Coast, ‘The Islands’ adds a new page to the bucket list.

The Treasured Islands – the  Bahamas were once considered the pirate islands and as part of a flotilla of 10 – 15 yachts sailing from 26 th March to 2 nd April, swashbuckling travellers can dive to sunken shipwrecks, sail clear waters and walk deserted white sand beaches. Activities include feeding and swimming with wild pigs, snorkelling with turtles, beach parties, shoreside yoga and of course, a sampling of local culture with delicious food and rum cocktails. As the sun goes down, there is treasure to be found in the stunning skies at Sunset Beach.

The Lost Islands – Tahiti and the  Polynesian islands are unique. Set alone in the middle of the vast South Pacific Ocean these islands are like entering another world. Each one is different to the last, but all with turquoise waters and coral teeming with spectacular underwater life. From 9 th – 16 th April and 16 th – 23 rd April, The Yacht Week takes 20 – 25 yachts to lose themselves in the natural beauty and ancient traditions of Tahiti. Explorers can hike Mount Temehani, visit sacred temples and pearl farms or enjoy sunrise yoga and surfing. With gourmet Polynesian food and parties including a New Moon Bora Bora beach party, this is a pure bucket list adventure.

The Carnival Islands – explore two of the Caribbean’s most vibrant cultures. From the French chic of  Martinique to the carnival vibes of  St Lucia. There’s no better way to see in the New Year than on a yacht with friends on the open Caribbean Sea. From 27 th December to 3 rd January, and 3 rd – 10 th January, The Yacht Week celebrates the arrival of 2022 with calypso beats, cocktails and a next-level adventure. New to charter?

The Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) is due at the time of the final charter payment. Under MYBA terms, this sum is usually equivalent to 30 per cent of the total charter fee, but may be up to 40 per cent in some cases.

Intended to cover the operating expenses of a charter as explained under Charter Terms, such as fuel, food, drinks, port fees and ad hoc incidentals, the APA will be given to the captain before the start of your charter. The Captain will ensure that the yacht is fully fuelled and provisioned when you step on board. While an up-to-date summary of accounts can be requested at any time during your charter, a full set of accounts will normally be submitted by your captain at the end of the cruise. If, during the charter, the expenditure exceeds the sum already paid, additional cash funds will be required at once.

All outstanding bills from the yacht charter should be settled in cash or by bank transfer before your final disembarkation. Of course, any remaining credit at the end of your charter will be reimbursed to you in full. On request, transfer arrangements to and from the yacht can be made by Burgess or by the yacht’s captain, payment for which will be deducted from your APA.
