A teak-lined flybridge is covered by a hard-top canopy with a sunroof and boasts a range of laid-back lounge spaces. To the rear there is room for a trio of sun-loungers, a sofa, a pair of Paola Lenti wicker armchairs and a set of Ottomans, while across the shaded middle there is an L-shaped dining sofa with a timber-clad table. To port there is a walk-in wet-bar with a frosted glass serving platform, marbled work surfaces, an ice-chipper, a BBQ grill, chilled storage and a sink. Up front there is a U-shaped sofa to starboard sitting alongside a central upper helm station with unimpeded views out towards the bow.

The flybridge has stiff competition for outdoor relaxation one level down, where a foredeck lounge with a Portuguese Bridge sofa and a four-zone sunpad offer a secluded and sunkissed space to enjoy afternoon aperitifs. The teak-lined cockpit boasts a sheltered transom sofa with a breakfast table, as well as side steps down to a full-beam hydraulic bathing platform and a watersports locker.

Folding glass doors, jaw-dropping panoramic single-pane glazing, warm oak floors, elm and walnut veneers, bronze-effect lacquer trim, curved cabinets, marble-topped tables and plush upholstered sofas define a main-deck salon that looks like it has been lifted straight out of a Manhattan penthouse. A pair of Minotti sofas and an armchair are joined by an eight-seater tinted glass dining table, with a retractable panel separating the lounge from the Euro-style galley. This minimalist and contemporary kitchen features pale cabinets, marble-effect counters, an extractor fan, a four-zone induction hob, a convection oven, a hidden fridge-freezer tower and a stainless-steel sink, while a port-side door in here allows for easy access to side-decks.

A semi-raised pilothouse boasts superb visibility, a pair of leather piloting chairs and a cocoon-style sofa. A unique Glass Cockpit helm system combines four huge Garmin digital touchscreens with a Penta joystick, EVC Volvo engine feedback, thruster controls, VHF radio, trim tabs, a leather-clad power-assisted steering wheel, a host of backlit analogue instrumentation and a Seakeeper stabilizer switch.

There are four elegant and luxurious en-suite cabins with expansive hull glazing on the lower-deck, including an amidship twin and double room that are bigger than many staterooms. To aft there is a full-beam suite with a work-desk, a full-height locker, a king-sized bed, bedside cabinets and a semi-open bathroom, while the owner’s stateroom sits by the bow. This privately accessed room features a side sofa, a work desk, a pair of hanging lockers, a walk-in dressing room, a king-sized bed, veneered surfaces, a lattice-effect wall panel and a huge, marble and timber-lined bathroom with a widescreen mirror and a sauna-style shower room.

The typical trawler yacht prioritizes stamina over speed, yet the Navetta 73 is no typical trawler. Instead, you will find a robust hull that can withstand choppy offshore conditions paired with engines that deliver both efficiency and gusto. A pair of 1000MHP Volvo Penta D13 IPS1350 pod-drive diesel engines prompt top speeds of around 26 knots and comfortable cruising clocking in at 18 knots. Should you choose to pace yourself at a speed of just 5.5 knots, not unusual for a trawler, then you can voyage for over 2,000 nautical miles without needing to refuel.

Russia’s improved Kilo-class submarine entering Black Sea

In the midst of ukraine-russia tensions, russia's improved kilo-class (project 636.3) submarine "rostov-na-donu (b-237)" entered the dardanelles on february 12 en route to the black sea. the submarine belongs to the black sea fleet's 4th independent submarine brigade..

Rostov-na-Donu will transit Bosphorus tomorrow morning and enter the Black Sea. Following the deployment of Rostov-na-Donu , the Russian Black Sea Fleet will have four improved Kilo-class submarines equipped with Kalibr land-attack missiles in the Black Sea. According to the OSINT reports , the Black Sea Fleet’s other two Project 636.3 submarines (B-262 Stary Oskol , B-265 Krasnodar ) are currently in Russia’s Tartous Naval Base in Syria.

Russia has been reinforcing its Black Sea Fleet since last week. As Naval News reported on February 08, the first part of a Russian Navy amphibious landing ship force consists of three Ropucha-class amphibious assault ships ( Minsk (127), Korolev (130) , and Kaliningrad (102)), which can carry troops, tanks, and supplies, has entered the Black Sea. On February 08 , three additional amphibious vessels (Project 775 (Ropucha-class)  Georgy Pobedonosets  (016),  Olenegorsky Gornyak  (012), and Project 11711 (Ivan Gren-class)  Pyotr Morgunov  (017)) of the Russian Navy transited the Bosporus tonight to enter the Black Sea.

In addition to the current tensions in the region, Russia issued NOTAMs in the Black Sea on February 9, effectively blocking the entrance to the Sea of Azov as well as the ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk. The NOTAMs were released in preparation for the Black Sea Fleet’s live missile and gun firing exercises, which will take place from February 13 to February 19, 2022.

The naval capabilities of both countries and the Russian Black Sea Fleet’s possible course of action are given in our January analysis .

About Improved Kilo-class submarines:

Improved Kilo-class submarines are referred to as the third generation of large diesel-electric submarines, which were built at the JSC Admiralty Shipyards for the Russian Navy’s main fleets. Originally, these submarines are called Project 636.3, in Western countries, they are defined as Improved Kilo-class, which are the upgraded version of  Project 877 (Kilo-class) subs.

The improved Kilo-class submarines are designed to conduct anti-shipping and anti-submarine missions in shallow waters and feature stealth technology with extended combat range to strike land, surface, and underwater targets.

According to Russia, the Project 636.3 submarines are among the world’s quietest submarines. It is 74 meters long, has a displacement of over 3,900 tonnes, and has an operational depth of 240 meters. It can operate at a maximum depth of 300 meters and has a range of 7,500 nautical miles.

The submarines have a cruising speed of 20 knots, a range of 400 nautical miles using electronic propulsion, can patrol for 45 days, and can accommodate a crew of 52. They are equipped with 6×533 mm torpedo tubes with 18 torpedoes and eight Strela-3/Igla-1 surface-to-air missiles. Alternatively, the torpedo tubes can deploy 24 mines.

These submarines are powered with two 4DL-42M diesel generators, 1500 kW each (1000 kW each for the first 2 diesel generators). Different from Project 877 submarines which have a 6 bladed propeller, Improved Kilo-class subs are fitted with a 7 bladed propeller.

The MGK-400EM digital sonar is installed on Type 636.3. The sonar suit, according to Robosonexport, detects submarine and surface ship targets in sonar listening mode, echo-ranging in a 30° sector of the target relative bearing, telephone and telegraph communication in both long and short-range modes, detection of underwater sound signals, and signal-bearing determination.

Ukraine has claimed to have hit a Russian ship near Crimea. 

In an update by the intelligence unit for the Ukrainian defence ministry, officials said the Yamal ship was struck on Saturday. 

"According to Ukrainian military intelligence, the nature of the damage to the Yamal submarine is critical: a hole in the upper deck caused it to roll to the starboard side," it added. 

"The occupiers are continuously pumping water out of the damaged ship, which took part in the annexation of Crimea."

Crimea was illegally annexed by Russia in 2014. 

Vladimir Putin has said the perpetrators of the Moscow concert hall attack are "radical Islamists".

However, the Russian president claims the shootings fit in a wider campaign of intimidation by Ukraine. 

"This atrocity may be just a link in a whole series of attempts by those who have been at war with our country since 2014 by the hands of the neo-Nazi Kyiv regime," he adds.

Claims Ukraine was somehow involved in the Moscow attack have been widely dismissed by analysts.

According to him, those who planned the attack "hoped to sow panic and discord" in society. 

More than 130 people were killed in the attack, and a further 154 were injured. 

Four men, charged with carrying out a terrorist attack, appeared in court last night and showed signs of being severely beaten.

A Turkish security official has revealed the gunmen from Tajikistan who carried out a deadly attack in Moscow last week briefly entered Turkey to renew their Russian residence permits - but insisted their radicalisation did not happen there.

There was no existing arrest warrant against the attackers, meaning they could travel freely between Turkey and Russia, the official told Reuters news agency on condition of anonymity, adding that the attackers had been living in Moscow for a long time.

Two of the attackers left Turkey to travel to Moscow on the same flight on 2 March, the person said.

More than 143 people were killed and dozens more injured in the attack, which was later claimed by Islamic State.

Four men have been charged with carrying out an attack at a concert in Moscow on Friday that killed more than 130 people.

They all appeared in court on Monday heavily bruised with swollen faces and black eyes – with one attending in a wheelchair wearing a hospital gown.

The Islamic State group said it carried out the attack on the Crocus City Hall, but President Putin has insisted Ukraine was involved.

President Zelenskyy has strongly denied the claims and hit out at the Russian leader and others in Moscow, describing them as “scum”. 

Questions are now mounting for President Putin as it emerged the US government warned Russia two weeks ago that an attack by extremists on "large gatherings including concerts" was imminent.

On this edition of the Sky News Daily, Leah Boleto is joined by international affairs editor Dominic Waghorn and international correspondent in Moscow Diana Magnay to discuss the mood in the Russian capital and how President Putin could react.

The UK is aware of "no connection whatsoever" between Ukraine and the Moscow terror attack, defence secretary Grant Shapps has said.

The minister told MPs there was a need to "resist" the efforts of Vladimir Putin to link the two.

Speaking at defence questions, shadow defence secretary John Healey said the attack "must not become a Kremlin cover for Putin's illegal war in Ukraine".

Mr Shapps added: "He's absolutely right to say there is no connection whatsoever that we're aware of with Ukraine, and indeed Isis have claimed responsibility.

"We must resist Putin's efforts to try to link the two."

The Russian foreign ministry has summoned the Australian envoy in Moscow to complain about a social media post condemning the holding of Russian presidential elections in parts of Ukraine Moscow claims to have annexed.

Russia held voting in its presidential election in Ukrainian territories it says are now parts of Russia, including Crimea, and parts of four regions it seized following its 2022 invasion.

In a statement on the Telegram messaging service, the Australian embassy wrote: "The holding of the vote on the territory of Ukraine is a flagrant violation of international law".

Russia's foreign ministry has now said it has summoned the envoy, strongly protested and demanded the embassy take the message down.

Vladimir Putin won 87% of the vote in the election held on 15-17 March.

The White House has dismissed Russian claims that the shooting attack that killed 137 people in a concert hall outside Moscow was linked to Ukraine.

White House spokesman John Kirby told reporters: "There was no linkage to Ukraine. 

"This is just more Kremlin propaganda."

Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said it was inappropriate to comment on the investigation into last Friday's shooting at the Crocus City Hall concert centre near Moscow.

He was asked at a briefing to comment on a statement by Islamic State claiming responsibility for the attack.

Three more suspects in the case of the Moscow concert attack have appeared in court. 

Russian state news agency RIA Novosti reported investigators had asked for the three men to be taken into custody. 

The men have been named as two brothers Dilovar Islomov and Aminchon Islomov, and their father Isroil Islomov. 

Dilovar Islomav has been identified as a Russian citizen, the news outlet added. 

Four suspects from Tajikistan have already been remanded in custody until at least 22 May before facing trial, Russian authorities have said. 

Dalerdzhon Barotovich Mirzoyev, 32, Saidakrami Murodali Rachabalizoda, 30, Shamsidin Fariduni, 25, and Muhammadsobir Fayzov, 19, appeared at the Basmanny district court in Moscow yesterday.

Court officials said Mirzoyev and Rachabalizoda pleaded guilty to the charges. 

At least 137 people were killed in the attack on the Piknik rock concert at Crocus City Hall Krasnogorsk on Friday. 

A further 154 people were injured, and more than 100 remain in hospital.

This morning - three days on from the horrors of the Crocus City Hall terror attack - people were still streaming to the site to lay flowers. 

The makeshift memorial stretched on and on, piles of carnations beside huge bouquets of roses, brightly coloured teddy bears wedged in among the flowers and the occasional photograph of one of the many victims. Around the corner of the huge Crocus City complex, the burnt out remains of the concert hall stood black and ravaged against the sky.

An orthodox priest burnt incense and led a small crowd in prayers which they sang in soft, mournful tones. Many wept. 

This is the worst terror attack on Russian soil since the horrors of the Beslan school siege in 2004. Then, the world of Islamist terror was more familiar than it is now. Then, Putin's attention - and that of his security forces - was fixed firmly on it, not that that helped save the children of Beslan.

"You cannot put it into words. It's horrible, it's a nightmare," one man told us. "For what? Why did they take these people?"

"Where were our authorities?" his companion said through her tears. "Where were the guards who walk the streets? We didn't see them here."

Round the back of the building, people who'd been at the concert on Friday night were returning to pick up their things, mostly overcoats left in the cloakroom as people fled.

"We heard shots, and then they got louder and louder and louder. And when I saw the staff running down the hall and behind the stage, I realised this was a terror attack," said Oleg. 

"Then when we got to the first floor there were already people killed, many, many bodies. Groups of two, three, five people. When I turned to my right there were fifteen people killed there."

Oleg doesn't want to speculate on who might be responsible. "We now have a difficult situation in the country and my words might have negative consequences," he says.

Tatiana, who'd gone to the concert with her grandson, was less cautious. "I think there are some traces, since they fled to Ukraine, it means that they probably had some kind of route which means someone was waiting for them there."

It is certainly the inference Russia's president was making in his first, terse statement on Saturday evening where he intimated that the suspects were en route to Ukraine and that a "window" was prepared for them at the border. 

That suggestion of a "Ukrainian trace" has fallen on fertile ground in wartime Russia where Ukraine has targeted military installations and towns and villages along the border in response to the Kremlin's devastating onslaught on their country.

But there is a considerable distance between bombing oil refineries, even dare it be said the shelling of Belgorod with the occasional loss of civilian life, and the indiscriminate slaughter of 137 civilians at a rock concert. 

Plus, Islamic State-Khorasan has claimed responsibility and released footage from one of the attackers' phones as they conducted their rampage.

"Perhaps there was some help from Ukraine," says Natalya who lives close to the Crocus Hall complex. 

"But who ordered it, who is the sponsor of this terrorist attack? I'm guessing it's the West, either the UK or the US." 

I ask if she'd heard about the US intelligence warning issued to Russia on 7 March about a possible terror attack and whether that didn't change her view.

"Of course I heard about it,"  she replies. "I think that the United States is also divided into two camps: those who do not want terrorist attacks and those who sponsor it."

Former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev has called for the gunmen and anyone else involved in Friday's attack near Moscow to be killed.

The deadly attack has prompted discussions among Vladimir Putin's allies about resurrecting the death penalty, which has not been used in Russia since 1996.

In a post to Telegram after the four suspects were placed in pre-trial detention, Mr Medvedev said: "Everyone asks me. What to do? They were caught."

He continued: "Do they have to be killed? They have to be. And will be. But it is much more important to kill everyone involved. Everyone. Who paid, who sympathised, who helped. Kill them all."

Vladimir Vasilyev, parliamentary leader of the United Russia faction in the lower house of parliament, also said people in Russia were "asking questions" about the death penalty.

The Kremlin, however, said it was not taking part in such discussions (more in our 9.39 post).

Capital punishment is legal in Russia but no executions have been carried out since 1996, when it was subject to a de-facto moratorium.
